Job summary

Thomas Franks in Andover is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our established team at our contracts in Andover. You will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, set up dining rooms, and ensure hygiene and service standards in a busy school environment.

The role is term-time, 40 weeks per year, with a 2-day-in-7 work pattern and free on-site parking. We offer career progression through apprenticeship programs and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Experience serving customers in a catering setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team and show flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients during breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
• Set up dining areas for service.
• Prepare food following hygiene and safety practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts.
• Restock stocks and assist with function setups.
• Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment and store equipment properly.
• Complete necessary cleaning/hygiene duties.
• Engage with customers and staff professionally.
