Job summary

Mitie Group is hiring a part-time Cleaner at Prestwick Academy, Prestwick, Scotland. Rate of pay is 13.31 per hour with a total of 40 hours per week. You will follow Mitie policies, perform cleaning and porterage tasks, and ensure safety and security of school grounds and facilities.

The role requires a safeguarding-focused mindset, DBS check, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior caretaking experience is preferred but not essential, with a strong professional attitude

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
