Job summary

Mitie Group is seeking a School Caretaker at Strathdearn Primary School in Inverness, Highland. The role delivers cleaning and facilities support, ensuring safe, well-maintained premises in line with policies and SLAs.

You will join a team, handle training, DBS checks, and provide porterage and room setups, with 25 hours per week at £13.74 per hour. Benefits include lifestyle perks and health options.

Responsibilities

• Undertake training and follow Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment, cleaning materials and chemicals in safe order.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, porterage and room setups.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance tasks including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks.

We're looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Location: Strathdearn Primary School, Tomatin, Inverness, Highland, Scotland, IV13 7YN

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
