Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker for a school-based role in Swansea, starting November 2026. You will support pupils academically and emotionally, helping them build confidence and essential life skills in a positive learning setting.

The position operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with pay of £92.63 per day or £14.25 per hour. Ongoing training and consultant support are provided to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth work, coaching or education is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to build relationships with pupils and support their learning.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students in class with learning activities and lessons.
• Build positive relationships with pupils needing encouragement and guidance.
• Act as a mentor, helping students develop confidence and self-esteem.
• Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to boost engagement.
• Assist with break times, activities, and classroom routines.
• Help students develop independence, emotional regulation, and communication.
• Collaborate with teachers to support wellbeing and achievement.
