Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a School Youth Worker at a welcoming secondary school in Blackwood, South Wales.

You’ll support students aged 11–16 to feel safe, understood and ready to engage in learning, working closely with teaching and pastoral teams to create a positive and inclusive environment. You’ll assist pupils with additional learning needs through the SRB, using person‑centred approaches to identify barriers and help students thrive academically and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, youth work, care, mentoring or similar transferrable roles (Essential).
• Ability to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or behaviour needs.
• Calm, patient and approachable in challenging situations.
• Awareness of emotional and social needs of young people.

Responsibilities
