Beechwood School is seeking a dedicated full-time safeguarding and pupil support professional in Crewe. You will work to protect children, monitor attendance, support families and coordinate with school staff and external agencies to promote wellbeing and learning.

Responsabilidades

• Support the DSL with the day-to-day operational management of safeguarding across the school.
• Monitor safeguarding concerns, ensuring information is recorded, followed up and escalated per procedures.
• Maintain accurate confidential safeguarding records and contribute to safeguarding systems.
• Act as a key point of contact for staff regarding safeguarding concerns.
• Support liaison with parents, carers and external agencies including social care and health.
• Participate in safeguarding meetings, case reviews and multi-agency meetings.
• Support implementation and monitoring of safeguarding policies and risk assessments.
• Promote a strong safeguarding culture and pupil welfare.
• Recognise signs of vulnerability and ensure appropriate action is taken.
• Maintain professional curiosity and follow concerns through to outcomes.
• Lead day-to-day monitoring and improvement of pupil attendance and punctuality.
• Monitor attendance data and identify pupils needing early intervention.
• Work with pupils and families to address barriers to regular attendance.
• Lead attendance meetings and home visits where appropriate.
• Develop and implement attendance support plans with pupils, parents and carers.
• Collaborate with staff and external agencies to coordinate attendance support.
• Follow local procedures for persistent absence and attendance concerns.
• Maintain records of attendance interventions and evaluate impact.
• Promote good attendance and punctuality across the school community.
• Provide practical and emotional support to families.
• Identify families who may benefit from early help and coordinate support.
• Signpost and refer families to relevant services.
• Undertake home visits where appropriate and maintain confidentiality.
• Support families to access services and develop strategies for positive outcomes.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
• Provide targeted support to pupils and advocate for their needs and wellbeing.
