Job summary

Woodlands Park Primary School in England is seeking an exceptional safeguarding-focused practitioner to join our team. The post requires proactive work with vulnerable children and families and readiness to act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead if required.

You will signpost and coordinate multi-agency support, deliver safeguarding training to colleagues, build strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff, and help improve attendance and attainment across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an educational and/or social care or community based setting with young people.
• Understanding of social/welfare issues as they affect children, families and schools.
• Experience in working within and collaborating with multi agencies (eg Health, Social care and Early Help)

Responsibilities

• Will proactively seek ways to remove barriers to learning by supporting vulnerable children and their families.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and complete Level 3 training if required.
• Lead multi-agency meetings and signpost/coordinate safeguarding interventions.
• Deliver safeguarding training to colleagues and develop relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Work with the school team to improve attendance and raise attainment.
• Adapt to the daily challenges of a busy primary school.
