Job summary

Beech Hall School Ltd in Cheshire is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join our Enhanced Learning Team. You will support students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia, helping them build confidence and independence.

Working with teachers, the SENDCo, parents and external professionals, you will deliver targeted in-class and small-group support, maintaining profiles and records to track progress and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics required.
• Strong understanding that positive relationships help students succeed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire students.
• Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• NVQ3 or equivalent or years of relevant experience desirable
• First Aid qualification desirable or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of SEN provisions and developments desirable

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with SEND in classroom and targeted interventions.
• Acting as key worker for identified students, tracking progress and providing support.
• Delivering small group and one-to-one programmes as directed by the SENDCo.
• Creating and maintaining student profiles, learning resources, and support plans.
• Working with teachers, parents, and external agencies to secure outcomes.
• Supporting students' social, emotional, and pastoral development.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to review meetings.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
