Job summary

Ddgroup seeks a Scheduling Planning & Optimisation Coordinator to join our Field Service Operations team in Stirling. You’ll work with system-led scheduling and operational data to optimise field engineering capacity across Reactive, PPM and Install work, validate recommendations and tackle exceptions.

You’ll improve scheduling rules and data quality, balance priorities such as geography, skills and availability, and support continuous data-driven optimisation of our scheduling framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, workforce planning or resource planning within field-service operations.
• Proven ability to balance priorities like geography, skills and availability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system-assisted schedules and ensure bookings reflect priorities, skills, territories, availability and capacity.
• Resolve allocation failures and capacity constraints with controlled overrides as needed.
• Plan ahead at demand and engineer capacity to anticipate issues.
• Protect PPM planning windows and support compliance requirements.
• Use operational data to identify workload imbalances and reduce unnecessary rescheduling.
• Help improve scheduling rules, data and optimisation logic over time.

Love solving complex operational puzzles and making things work smarter?

We’re looking for a Scheduling Planning & Optimisation Coordinator to join our Field Service Operations team in Stirling.

This isn’t a traditional manual scheduling role. You’ll work with system-led scheduling and operational data to help us make the best use of our field engineering capacity across Reactive, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Install work. You’ll validate scheduling recommendations, tackle exceptions, identify capacity pressures and help continuously improve the rules and data behind increasingly automated scheduling.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role in keeping our operation moving by:

• Monitoring system-assisted schedules and making sure bookings reflect priorities, skills, territories, availability and capacity.
• Solving failed allocations and capacity constraints, applying controlled overrides where appropriate.
• Looking ahead at demand and engineer capacity to spot potential problems early.
• Protecting PPM planning windows and helping manage compliance requirements.
• Using operational data to identify workload imbalances and opportunities to reduce unnecessary rescheduling and manual intervention.
• Helping improve our scheduling rules, data and optimisation logic over time.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who enjoys planning, problem-solving and working with data. You’ll need experience within scheduling, workforce planning, resource planning or field-service operations, along with confidence making decisions where priorities, geography, skills and availability all need to be balanced.

Experience with D365 Field Service/Schedule Assistant would be useful, but it isn’t essential — this can be trained. Experience with PPM or compliance planning would also be an advantage.
