Job summary

Home Instead, an award-winning care provider in Newport, seeks a Scheduling Coordinator responsible for planning efficient schedules for clients and Care Professionals. You will ensure a positive experience by optimizing schedules and maintaining relationships with clients.

This role requires experience in scheduling within home care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The position is UK-based, with opportunities for training and development in a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Scheduler, or similar role.
  • Experience in a scheduling role within home care.
  • Flexibility to support on-call rota.

We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Coordinator to take responsibility for planning, organising, and maintaining consistent schedules that align with our Home Instead model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintaineffective, efficient schedules for clients and Care Professionals.
  • Ensure schedules optimise travel time and availability while meeting client needs.
  • Be responsive to changes, making real-time adjustments when necessary.
  • Match Care Professionals with clients, arranging introductions in collaboration with the care team.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with both clients and Care Professionals to ensure a positive experience for all.
  • Ensure compliance with franchise standards, including introducing Care Professionals to clients before their first visit.
  • Work with the recruitment team to ensure staffing levels meet demand.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.

Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Scheduler, Rota Coordinator, Workforce Planner, or similar role within domiciliary care would be a big advantage within this role.

  • Experience in a scheduling or coordinating role within home care.
  • Knowledge of the domiciliary care industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and remain calm under pressure.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset with great attention to detail.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
  • Flexibility to support the evening and weekend on-call rota.
