Job summary

Fluence is seeking a SCADA Network Engineer to support advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems across the EMEA region. You will work on SCADA, networking, and cybersecurity, connecting Fluence control systems with TSOs and customer environments.

The role emphasizes documentation, collaboration with Field Service Engineers, and hands-on lab testing. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in SCADA/OT, experience with IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, and strong Python or Bash scripting skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in a related engineering or IT field.
Minimum 3 years in SCADA, OT, industrial networking, or related industry.
Experience with IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC, etc.

Responsibilities

Lead SCADA, monitoring, networking, cybersecurity, and system integration for BESS.
Integrate Fluence control with TSO and customer SCADA environments.
Develop and maintain system docs: network architectures, diagrams, inventories.
Collaborate with Field Service Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Support testing during upgrades and change orders.
Participate in lab testing and evaluate new tech and system enhancements.
Serve as technical interface for customers, partners, and subcontractors.
Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and perform root-cause analyses.
Drive continuous improvement of processes, tools, and records.
Stay updated on standards and cybersecurity best practices.
Provide reports and performance insights to stakeholders.
Travel across the EMEA region as required.
