Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting for a Saw Operative in Patchway (BS34). The role involves operating band, circular, or bar saws to cut metal to customer specs, with a 3- to 4-week paid training period at £15.90/hour.

After training, you’ll move to weekend shifts at £25.34/hour, on a long-term temp-to-perm basis. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, 6am-6pm, with excellent training and progression opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating saws (metal cutting preferred).
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work weekend shifts.

Pay: £25.34 per hour (weekly pay)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Hours: Saturday & Sunday - 6am-6pm

Location: Patchway, Bristol (BS34)

Training Pay: £15.90 per hour (first 3-4 weeks, Mon-Fri)

Role Overview of Saw Operative:

We're recruiting an experienced Saw Operative for a leading commercial and aerospace manufacturing business in Patchway (BS34). This is a long‑term, temp‑to‑perm opportunity offering outstanding pay, stability and genuine career progression. If you have experience operating band saws, circular saws, or bar saws, this is an excellent chance to join a growing and supportive team.

You will complete an initial 3-4 week training period, Monday to Friday, paid at £15.90 per hour, before moving onto weekend shifts at the weekend rate.
