Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking an experienced Saw Operative for a long-term temp-to-perm role in Patchway (BS34). You will operate band, circular, or bar saws to cut metal to exact customer specs, and perform general warehouse duties.

The position includes an initial paid training period, followed by weekend shifts at the weekend rate. Training pay is £15.90 per hour for 3–4 weeks (Mon-Fri), with progression into weekend work at £25.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating saws (metal cutting preferred).
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operating saws to cut metal materials to precise customer specifications.
• Using band saws, with circular saw or bar saw experience welcomed.
• Carrying out general warehouse and production duties.
• Ensuring accuracy, quality and safe working practices at all times.
