Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a part-time Saturday/Evening Assistant for Trowbridge Library. You will support customers, help them find books and information, and assist with IT tasks, shelving and promoting stock.

Previous library experience is not essential as training will be provided. The role operates on Thursday evenings and Saturdays, with hybrid working model and a pro rata salary.

Qualifications

  • No previous library experience required; training provided.
  • Able to assist customers with queries and guide them to resources.
  • Comfortable with basic IT and helping others use computers and devices.

Salary:£24,796 - £25,185 pro rata

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, resilientperson to joinourTrowbridgeLibraryteam to help provide a high-quality service to our customers on aThursday evening (4.30-7pm) and Saturday (10am-5pm).

As aSaturday/Evening Assistant, you willassistcustomers with queries, helpthem to find books and information,and support them with IT.You willhelp keep the library looking attractive by shelving, displays and promoting our stock and resources.

Previouslibrary experience is not essential as we will train you in all aspects of library work.
