The Opportunity

As a Business Systems Analyst, your work will have a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation processes. By handling compensation elements, aligning plans with role matrices, and ensuring accurate quota management, you will help maintain a fair and motivating compensation structure. Your deep understanding of compensation plan components and meticulous administrative checks will ensure the quality of our compensation setups, enabling accurate incentive and payment calculations.

Your attention to detail and ability to interpret and summarize compensation information will provide valuable insights for business decisions. Collaborating with multiple teams, you will facilitate high-quality communication and teamwork, ensuring that tools are used reliably, and issues are resolved promptly.

What you'll Do

  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
  • Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
  • Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements
  • May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems
  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
  • Management of Compensation Elements: Assignment of Compensation Plans, Alignment to Role Matrix, Rep Quota Management
  • Compensation Plan Expert: Understand the mechanics of various compensation plans, including commission rates, SPIFFs, transactional crediting, measure types, etc.
  • Incentive and Commission Calculations: Ensure the system and data setup to accurately calculate incentives and commission payments.
  • Administrative Checks: Perform administrative checks to ensure the quality and completeness of compensation information and setup. Update and maintain critical information for compensation processes.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or technology subject area, preferably including course work related to data management and information systems.
  • Technical abilities and a passion for learning and growth in this area.
  • Experience in a professional technology firm environment working with compensation tools and supporting end user workflows.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as MS SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps, Flow, Excel, and Anaplan is a plus.
  • Be a self-starter that thrives in the face of challenge, clearing obstacles with a resourceful and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to operate with mentorship on new projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, balanced with the ability to distill complex issues down to the essentials.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and act as a subject matter specialist to meet ambitious goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.
  • Maintain a high energy and positive outlook, with a contagious sense of humor that helps you to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
