Position

Job Overview

Our prestigious client in Basildon is looking to recruit a permanent Office Sales Assistant.

As the Office Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction is exceeded with every client contact, which will be regular via phone, email, and contact. You will help maintain the warehouse, ensure it's fully stocked, and products are sent in a timely manner to clients. You should follow and understand all company policies and procedures and be able to accurately describe product features and benefits.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  2. Submit pricing, quotes, and tenders to customers and progress the enquiry to the point of sale
  3. Maintain regular contact with customers via emails and calls, including some cold calling/telesales
  4. Help maintain a fully stocked warehouse
  5. Ascertain customer's needs and wants
  6. Recommend items that match customer needs
  7. Participate in receiving new shipments
  8. Keep up to date with product information
  9. Accurately describe product features and benefits
  10. Follow all company policies and procedures
Requirements and Skills
  1. Proven experience in Office sales
  2. Ability to retain technical knowledge
  3. Experience in account development, customer liaison, and issue resolution
  4. Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  5. Coordination with sales team to provide efficient service
  6. Proficiency in English
  7. Track record of over-achieving sales quotas
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
  10. Basic administrative skills, including Word, Excel, and email
  11. *Willing to 'muck in'
Work Schedule and Benefits

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
