Sales Manager - B2B Sales Team (Office-Based)

Location: Peterborough (commutable - office-based role) | Package: Competitive basic salary + realistic six-figure OTE + excellent benefits | Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm

Are you a high-energy Sales Manager who loves building, driving, and developing a high-performing B2B sales team?

We're recruiting for a commercially minded, results-focused Sales Manager to lead an internal team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), selling high-value services.

This role is all about pace, accountability, and performance. You'll own the sales numbers, drive outbound activity, coach your team daily, and work hand-in-hand with marketing to convert qualified leads into long-term, high-value customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of BDMs to consistently hit and exceed monthly revenue targets.
  • Drive a high-volume, high-quality outbound sales operation (calls, follow-ups, emails, LinkedIn outreach).
  • Ensure all conversations are held at decision-maker / business-owner level, positioning value, ROI, and long-term impact.
  • Implement and refine structured sales processes, call frameworks, and objection-handling playbooks.
  • Own and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs including dials, conversations, conversion rates, pipeline value, and closed revenue.
  • Deliver regular 1:1 coaching, call listening/feedback, and group training to continually raise performance.
  • Work closely with marketing to align messaging, improve lead quality, and share front-line commercial insight.
  • Use data to optimise conversion at every stage of the sales funnel - from first contact through to close.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop new BDMs as the team scales.
  • Produce clear, accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Build and protect a high-performance, positive, and competitive sales culture.

  • Proven experience managing a B2B inside sales or telesales team.
  • Demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding ambitious team targets in a fast-paced, KPI-led environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset - confident discussing value, outcomes, and ROI with business owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Hands‑on leader who is comfortable being “on the floor”, coaching, listening to calls, and driving standards.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and closing skills.
  • Data‑driven approach - confident working with KPIs, dashboards, and conversion metrics.
