Position Overview:

Domaine Bousquet is one of Argentina’s leading wineries, recognised among the top five wine exporters in the country. With over 25 years of experience in organic agriculture and sustainability, we are pioneers in both the Gualtallary region of the Uco Valley and environmentally conscious winemaking. Our wines are now available in over 60 countries worldwide.

We are seeking a UK Sales Manager to lead and execute our commercial goals in the UK market. This role involves close collaboration with our distributor partners, engaging key accounts, and analysing sales, pricing, and inventory data.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong market experience and is aligned with our entrepreneurial culture and high standards.
  • Is ambitious, diligent, and commercially astute — someone eager to grow the territory.
  • Is a self-starter with the resilience and drive to build success from the ground up.
  • Is highly proficient with technology and comfortable using CRM systems.
  • Sees changes in the drinks industry as opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Regularly observes market trends and feeds insights back to the team to help shape strategy and improve service to clients and consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend at least four days per week in the field, conducting account visits with or without distributor sales staff.
  • Call on key clients and chains, presenting our portfolio to secure shelf placements, wine list inclusions, and display opportunities.
  • Build and grow our sales in the UK by partnering with distributors and key retailers.
  • Meet or exceed annual shipment, depletion, profit, and performance targets.
  • Educate distributor partners at all levels on our brand story and products.
  • Manage allocations by SKU and market, setting and delivering on target account goals.
  • Review distributor bill-backs and address discrepancies where needed.
  • Support and participate in trade and consumer tasting events, including in-store tastings for key accounts.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management, including updates on competitive activity, pricing, promotions, sales trends, and actionable insights.
  • Submit weekly reports, including accomplishments, top account updates, work-with schedules, and inventory/depletion tracking.
  • Work with distributors to manage inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key accounts across the on-trade, off-trade, and retail chain sectors.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to meet sales targets, grow distribution, and manage business profitability.
  • Exhibit confidence in public speaking and persuasive selling, with strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Travel as needed within the UK and to Europe to support distributor tastings and events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in wine sales and distributor management, either with a supplier or distributor.
  • Strong written and numerical skills, including a good understanding of distributor pricing models.
  • Willing and able to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.
  • Comfortable with MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Valid UK driving licence and automobile insurance.
  • Ideally degree educated
