Location: Remote, UK

Type: Part-time, 20 hrs/week, 5 days/week

Work base: Fully remote/home-working (very occasional requirement to come to London-based office – e.g. for training)

Salary: £15 per hour, plus uncapped commission.

OTE earnings c.£40k per annum (based on 20 hours per week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious and sales-driven Telesales Executive to join our team within the Sales & Marketing department.

This part-time, fully remote role offers flexibility but requires four hours per day, 5 days per week to be worked, between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

For example, working 11am – 3pm is possible, 5 days per week.

As a Telesales Executive at Retail Economics, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by building relationships with prospective clients and presenting the value of our services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling membership subscriptions, which provide our clients with access to a comprehensive suite of retail insights, economic reports, and market intelligence. The role also includes identifying potential clients for our thought leadership service.

This is a rewarding role for those who thrive in fast-paced sales environments and enjoy the excitement of closing deals and earning commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outbound sales calls: Conduct outbound sales calls to trial members (warm leads) where activity includes:
  • Welcoming them to their membership trial
  • Recommending relevant reports and insights for a tailored approach
  • Supporting and nurturing the lead during their membership trial
  • Identifying potential leads for our thought leadership service
  • Re-connecting with leads on an ad-hoc basis
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new leads.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our membership service offerings, including reports, bolt-on services, and our membership cost model.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of the company.
  • CRM Management (Zoho CRM): Update and manage our CRM system with accurate and detailed client information and sales activities.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Provide feedback on sales activities and client feedback, reporting into our Head of Business Development.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in telesales or a similar sales role, preferably in a the B2B environment.
  • CRM Systems – experience on Zoho CRM would be highly advantageous
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and persuade corporate clients effectively.
  • Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the retail and consumer industry is preferred, but not essential.
  • Technology: Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook and basic CRM software.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently at home as part of a team.
  • Education: A-levels or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential.
