Role Overview

Chelsea FC is building a dedicated team of Sales Executives within the Club’s Player Image Rights business to drive the Club’s growth in the dynamic and evolving world of player-led commercial opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for commercially minded individuals with a passion for football, branding, and athlete marketing to play a central role in monetizing the image rights of one of the world’s leading football clubs.

As a key member of the Image Rights Sales team, you will actively identify, pitch, and secure new business, while supporting the delivery of high impact brand activations and client engagements. This hands‑on role combines strategic thinking with operational execution, offering the chance to work at the intersection of elite sport, global brands, and cutting‑edge digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & Client Engagement

  • Proactively source and develop new business opportunities by engaging directly with brands, agencies, and media partners.
  • Qualify leads and nurture a pipeline of potential deals aligned with the Club’s and players’ image rights strategies.
  • Craft proposals tailored to client objectives and brand fit.
  • Support negotiations on contract terms, deliverables, and partnership value.
  • Build long-term, strategic relationships with partners, ensuring their objectives are met through well‑executed player activations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align player image rights activations with broader club and commercial goals.

Campaign Delivery & Operational Support

  • Coordinate campaign logistics to ensure smooth delivery of all activations.
  • Conduct in‑depth market research on brands, competitors, trends, and territories to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Ensure all brand activity is consistent with club values and player reputation.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, rights usage, and partner activity.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects across the Club’s diverse client portfolio.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in sales, brand partnerships, or commercial roles within sport, media, or marketing.
  • Track record of developing and closing commercial opportunities.
  • Record of converting cold leads to warm leads.
  • Strong business development skills with dynamic approach to client reach outs.
  • Comfortable with working at pace and at times high volume.
  • Strong influencing skills and keen eye for new business opportunities.
  • Understanding of player image rights, licensing, and digital branding.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passionate about football and the rapidly evolving world of athlete marketing.
  • To embody the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interaction with others
  • To adhere to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
  • To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels
  • To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
  • To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department
