Sun IP is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive to help grow our patent services business across the United States and Europe. As an individual contributor, you will manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation and prospecting to client acquisition and account management. This is a remote position.

We’re looking for a confident, collaborative self-starter with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities focused on patent-related services.
  • Conduct outreach to build a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Present and promote Sun IP’s patent-focused solutions to prospective clients, aligning with their business and legal needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in Salesforce.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that clearly communicate the value of our patent services.
  • Lead contract discussions and close deals to achieve individual sales goals.
  • Stay informed about trends in the patent space and competitor offerings.
  • Attend client meetings, industry events, and conferences (~50% of the time).

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in a professional services, IP, or legal services environment.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas consistently.
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and closing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident speaking with decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) to manage pipeline and sales activity.
  • Knowledge of the intellectual property or patent industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Energetic and proactive with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable navigating complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable and open to feedback in a fast-paced environment
