Job description

To grow and develop customer accounts and also respond to all customer information/quotation requests to a high standard and in a timely manner, following up these requests and closing the opportunity

Key responsibilities

  • To actively seek out new sales opportunities and prospect new customers
  • To own sales opportunities independently
  • To manage the sales cycle from start to finish
  • To provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the Sector Sales Manager as specified
  • To qualify inbound opportunities
  • To proactively ensure that your own knowledge of all relevant products, services and licensing agreements is up to date
  • To provide support to the wider team who deal with existing customers
  • To maintain appropriate customer records on the Phoenix sales order processing system
  • Use the business tools provided to enhance your knowledge within your customer base
  • To adhere to relevant Key Performance Indicators for the Sales Team
  • Other general administrative duties
  • Any other reasonable request
  • Support objectives as defined in the company’s information security policy
  • Perform your tasks in support of data and information security

Competencies

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • First-rate telephone, email and IM skills
  • Ability to prioritise work under pressure, work without supervision and use initiative to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to plan ahead
  • Commitment to see a job through to a successful conclusion
  • A flexible approach to the working day
  • A strong team player and work ethic
  • To be passionate about sales and providing an expectation customer service
  • Keen interest in technology preferable
