Job summary

AEP Compressed Air Technologies in Honiton is seeking a hands-on Sales Engineer to be the first point of contact for customers and support the Field Sales Engineers. You will quote, size equipment, and help customers select the best compressed air solution, with opportunities to progress into field sales.

The role requires technical sales know-how, ability to size equipment to ISO standards, and collaboration with the sales team. 37.5 hours per week, salary up to £35,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales within industrial equipment.
• Ability to size equipment to customer needs (flow, pressure, ISO standards).
• Proven track record of preparing competitive quotations.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound enquiries by phone, email, and web and convert to orders.
• Prepare accurate technical quotes for compressors and air systems using SAP.
• Size equipment for applications including flow and pressure requirements.
• Manage live pipeline and follow up quotations.
• Collaborate with Field Sales Engineers on designs and site surveys.
• Maintain accurate SAP/CRM records of customers and orders.
