Job description

Sales Development Representative - EdTech / Education Sector

UK / Remote | Full-time (4.5 days a week with Friday afternoons off)

Our client is a well-established, data-led organisation working across the education sector. As they continue to grow, they're looking for an ambitious, commercially-minded Sales Development Representative to join their sales team.

The role

Working closely with the Head of Sales, you’ll play a key role in generating new business – engaging prospects, qualifying opportunities, and booking meetings for the sales team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to begin a genuine career in sales. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across outbound and inbound prospecting, pipeline development and CRM management, with plenty of support and training along the way. Previous sales experience isn’t essential – attitude, energy and potential matter more.

Responsibilities include:
  • Speaking confidently with prospective customers over the phone
  • Engaging prospects through phone, email, LinkedIn and other creative channels
  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities
  • Qualifying opportunities from both inbound and outbound activity
  • Booking meetings for the sales team and sharing pre-meeting notes
  • Supporting the wider commercial team with pipeline development
  • Thinking creatively about how to reach the right people
  • Keeping Salesforce CRM activity organised and up to date
  • Working towards activity metrics and targets
The package
  • Fully remote working
  • 4.5-day working week – Friday afternoons off!
  • Genuine progression opportunities
  • Lots of on-the-job training and support from an experienced team
  • The chance to build a career with a well-established, reputable company (30+ years in business)
  • Work with schools and education organisations all over the world
To be successful, you will...
  • Be confident, personable and commercially minded
  • Be comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Enjoy a challenge and be motivated by hitting targets
  • Be confident picking up the phone and starting conversations
  • Be resilient and able to handle rejection
  • Think creatively and be willing to try new approaches
  • Be proactive, organised and take ownership
  • Be keen to learn, develop and build a genuine career in sales
  • Ideally be UK based
  • Preferably be educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Have some sales or business development experience – desirable but not essential, full training given
