Role Overview

As a key contributor to achieving our Expedition Venturer targets and revenue goals, you will be the first point of contact for potential candidates, representing Raleigh International’s culture and values.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and convert candidates aged 17-24 into committed Venturers for our 5, 7, or 10-week programmes in various Expedition countries. This involves converting inbound online leads and traveling to schools and universities, primarily in the Southeast, to deliver talks and engage with potential Venturers. You will also follow up with leads to ensure a seamless experience and successful conversions.

The role requires active outreach, relationship building, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the application process. You will communicate the benefits of our Expeditions through phone consultations, online and in-person events, email, and WhatsApp. Comfort and confidence in speaking with both 17-24-year-olds, their parents/guardians, and educational professionals are essential. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments to support Raleigh’s mission and contribute to the Recruitment Team’s overall sales targets.

Key Accountabilities
Sales
  • Execute sales activities to meet recruitment and conversion targets.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of future bookings and prospects.
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via email, phone, and online chat platforms like WhatsApp.
  • Deliver online and in-person Expedition sessions, improve presentations, encourage sign-ups, and follow up.
  • Develop strong relationships with schools and universities visited.
  • Follow up with leads from the Marketing team to convert them into bookings.
  • Build relationships with potential candidates for future bookings.
  • Create tailored pitches based on customer preferences.
  • Become an expert in the Raleigh Expedition programme and understand the projects for each cycle.
Reporting and Admin
  • Use CRM tools to manage inquiries and customer records efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and application statuses.
  • Support team communication via Slack and address inquiries promptly.
Collaboration
  • Coordinate with Expedition Experience and Operations teams for product knowledge updates.
  • Work with marketing to ensure presentations are on brand and messaging is correct.
  • Collaborate with CRM lead to ensure effective reporting.
