Plumb Centre in Leicester is hiring a Sales Assistant/Delivery Driver (3.5t) to join a brand-new branch. You will deliver plumbing and heating supplies, assist customers at the trade counter, and respond promptly to inquiries by phone or email.

This full-time role (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri 07:00–17:00 with Saturday rota) offers a £26,695 base salary plus bonus and excellent benefits, including pension, annual leave, and healthcare options.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Face-to-face customer service experience is essential.
• Warehouse experience would be ideal.
• Comfortable lifting heavy items and physical work.

Responsabilités

• Drive a 3.5t van delivering plumbing and heating supplies locally.
• Serve customers on the trade counter and advise on products.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly.
• Build relationships to drive branch sales, especially with low-spend customers.
• Assist with warehouse duties, picking/packing and unloading deliveries.

As a Sales Assistant/Delivery Driver 3.5t based ina brand new branch in Leicester you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area.
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
• Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am - 12.00pm.

• Prior industry experience would be advantageous
• Previous Face to Face customer service is essential
• Prior warehouse experience would be ideal
• Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role
• Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Proficient in computer skills
• To be comfortable lifting heavy items
