Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking a Sales and Events Coordinator at Barclays Hampden, Glasgow to turn enquiries into successful events. You will manage the full client journey, from initial enquiry through to delivery, while driving revenue and developing relationships with key accounts.

This role requires proactive sales and events experience, excellent communication, and strong organisational skills. The position is based on-site in Glasgow with a salary in the £27k–£30k range and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event sales, venue sales, hospitality sales, event planning, or event coordination.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering measurable results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management capabilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and event planning expertise.
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your workload.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of the Glasgow events market would be advantageous.

  • Managing event documentation, pre-payments, invoicing, and financial administration.
  • Maximising event revenue through effective upselling and account development.
  • Representing the venue at networking events, exhibitions, client entertainment activities, and sales initiatives.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity within the Glasgow events market.

Barclays Hampden is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially minded Sales and Events Coordinator to join our growing team.

Working within one of Scotland's premier venues, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, securing new business, managing existing client relationships, and coordinating events from initial enquiry through to successful delivery.
