Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Sales and Events Coordinator for Barclays Hampden in Glasgow. The role focuses on building client relationships, driving revenue through event sales and coordinating end-to-end events from enquiry to delivery.

You will manage inbound enquiries, prepare proposals, conduct venue show rounds, and work with operations to ensure seamless execution while maintaining CRM records and pursuing new business opportunities. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event sales, venue sales, hospitality sales, event planning, or event coordination.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering measurable results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and account management capabilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems.
• Strong attention to detail and event planning expertise.
• Confident working independently and taking ownership of workload.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of the Glasgow events market would be advantageous.

• Working closely with operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Managing event documentation, pre-payments, invoicing, and financial administration.
• Maximising event revenue through effective upselling and account development.
• Representing the venue at networking events, exhibitions, client entertainment activities, and sales initiatives.
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity within the Glasgow events market.
