Job summary

Hendy Group in Horley, Surrey, is seeking a motivated Retail Sales Advisor for our Renault Dacia showroom. You will build rapport with customers, guide them through the buying journey, and discuss finance options while aiming for sales targets and high customer satisfaction.

The role offers a starting salary of £25,500 with uncapped commission and a realistic £40,000 OTE, plus induction, training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Comfortable discussing finance and related products.
• Confident Excel user.
• A full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers, understand their needs and recommend the most suitable vehicles and products.
• Guide customers through every stage of the purchasing journey – from enquiry and test drive to vehicle handover.
• Discuss finance options including cash or car loans and negotiate the sale price including possible trade-ins.
• Maximise sales opportunities while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction and hitting targets.
• Proactively prospect new and existing customers to grow the database and encourage repeat business.
• Support Sales Administrators with processing all vehicle sales documentation, orders and finance agreements.

Our Sales Advisor Opportunity:
In this Retail Sales Advisor role you will:

• Build rapport with customers, understand their needs and recommending the most suitable vehicles and additional products
• Guide customers confidently through every stage of their purchasing journey – from initial enquiry and test drive through to vehicle handover
• Discuss finance options including cash or car loans, negotiate the sale price of the vehicles including possible trade-in values
• Maximise sales opportunities – working towards vehicle sales and profit targets whilst maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction
• Proactively prospect new and existing customers to maintain your database and encourage repeat business
• Support the Sales Administrators with accurately processing all documentation relating to vehicle sales including vehicle orders and finance agreements

About You:

• Have a real drive and desire to achieve results and deliver exceptional service
• Able to build outstanding customer relationships, exceeding their expectations in every element of their buying experience
• You’re confident, professional and personable
• You have excellent communication and organisational skills
• You’re comfortable discussing finance and associated products
• Confident Excel user
• A full UK manual driving licence
• Successful candidates will be subject toappropriate pre-employmentchecks, including right to work verification and DBS checks.

Automotive industry or vehicle sales experience would be preferable; however, we will consider applicants with a proven sales track record outside of the industry.

Hendy Induction - please be advised that any new starters joining the business will, in their first week be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.
