Job summary

Hendy Group in Horsham is seeking a motivated Retail Sales Advisor for our Mazda showroom to deliver a seamless car buying experience. You will build relationships with customers, guide them from enquiry to handover, and discuss finance options while achieving sales targets.

We offer a competitive starting salary of £25,500 plus uncapped commission with a realistic £40k OTE, induction training, and ongoing development within a supportive team.

• Full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and recommend vehicles and additional products.
• Guide customers through enquiry, test drive, and handover.
• Discuss finance options including cash or car loans, and negotiate price.
• Maximise sales towards targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Proactively prospect new and existing customers to grow the database.
• Support Sales Administrators with documentation for vehicle sales and finance agreements.

Our Sales Advisor Opportunity:
In this Retail Sales Advisor role you will:

• Build rapport with customers, understand their needs and recommending the most suitable vehicles and additional products
• Guide customers confidently through every stage of their purchasing journey – from initial enquiry and test drive through to vehicle handover
• Discuss finance options including cash or car loans, negotiate the sale price of the vehicles including possible trade-in values
• Maximise sales opportunities – working towards vehicle sales and profit targets whilst maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction
• Proactively prospect new and existing customers to maintain your database and encourage repeat business
• Support the Sales Administrators with accurately processing all documentation relating to vehicle sales including vehicle orders and finance agreements

About You:

• Have a real drive and desire to achieve results and deliver exceptional service
• Able to build outstanding customer relationships, exceeding their expectations in every element of their buying experience
• You’re confident, professional and personable
• You have excellent communication and organisational skills
• You’re comfortable discussing finance and associated products
• Confident Excel user
• A full UK manual driving licence
• Successful candidates will be subject toappropriate pre-employmentchecks, including right to work verification and DBS checks.

Automotive industry or vehicle sales experience would be preferable; however, we will consider applicants with a proven sales track record outside of the industry.

Hendy Induction - please be advised that any new starters joining the business f will in their first week be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.
