Job summary

Wolseley in Chichester is hiring a Sales Assistant to help customers on the trade counter, offer product recommendations and quotations, and support daily warehouse tasks. You will learn product ranges and build lasting relationships with tradespeople.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with occasional Saturday shifts, a competitive salary of £26,695 plus bonus and extensive benefits, and opportunities to develop through the Wolseley Talent Guild.

Qualifications

• Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.

• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock, putting it away and picking & packing customer orders.

As a Sales Assistant based in Chichester, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.


• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value


• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.


• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am to 5.00pm and 1in3 Saturdays, working 8:00am - 12:00pm, paid as overtime.
