Job summary

Wolseley UK is seeking a Sales Assistant in Chichester (PO19 8UL) to serve customers at the trade counter with product recommendations and quotes. You will build relationships to drive repeat business and enhance customer experience, ensuring timely responses to enquiries by phone or email.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30am–5:00pm and one in three Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm, with overtime and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous face to face sales and customer service experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the trade counter with product recommendations and quotes.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and maximize lifetime value.
• Respond to enquiries by phone and email, providing quotes promptly.
• Handle general warehouse duties including stock intake, put away, and order picking/packing.

As a Sales Assistant based in Chichester, you'll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am to 5.00pm and 1in3 Saturdays, working 8:00am - 12:00pm, paid as overtime.
