The Role

AspenTech is seeking a Sales Account Executive with a proven track record of success in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Process Industries. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-starting sales professional with excellent business acumen and gravitas. A thorough understanding of executing sales campaigns from business development to closure, along with experience managing strategic customers, is required.

Your Impact
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas with strong forecast predictability.
  • Develop and advance sales pipelines and sales progression metrics.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans to secure large deals and generate additional revenue.
  • Manage daily sales activities, coordinate meetings, and support resources.
  • Provide updates, forecasts, and operational insights using SalesForce.com to sales and executive management.
  • Lead multidivisional account teams to ensure customer success.
  • Collaborate on global sales engagements as a team leader and member.
  • Develop and maintain C-Level relationships to become a trusted advisor and secure referenceable customers.
What You'll Need
  • Proven success in direct software sales with consistent overachievement of quotas over multiple years.
  • Extensive experience selling to Chemical, Energy, Petroleum, Processing, or Engineering industries.
  • Experience leading multi-million-dollar sales campaigns.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate consultative relationships with C-Level executives.
  • Excellent communication skills with professional gravitas.
  • Self-motivated with discipline to produce results independently.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
