A community-focused GP practice in Sheffield is looking for a motivated Salaried GP to provide high-quality patient care and mentor trainees. The role requires managing 6-8 sessions per week with responsibilities including patient management, teaching, and participation in practice meetings. A strong commitment to professional development and teamwork is essential, along with previous experience in general practice.

We are a training practice, dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and fostering professional growth. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting our resident doctors and should feel confident debriefing and mentoring trainees as part of our commitment to education and development.
We are looking for a GP to work 6-8 sessions per week, with flexibility to help provide cover during holiday periods and times of increased demand.

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

The post holder will be required to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities of a General Practitioner working in primary care. These include but are not limited to:
Effectively and safely manage patients, ensuring care is delivered in a clinically appropriate and evidence-based manner.
Work 6-8 sessions per week, with flexibility to support cover during busy periods and annual leave.
Participate in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching, including supervision and debriefing of GP trainees and medical students.
Take part in the on-call rota, including conducting home visits when clinically required.
Attend regular multidisciplinary team and practice meetings to support joined-up patient care and contribute to clinical governance.
A particular interest in research and quality improvement activities would be advantageous.
Engage in continuing professional development and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Practice and its services.
We are a CQC-rated Good GP Practice with a list size of approximately 7,400 patients, based in the Manor area of Sheffield.
Our team is friendly, approachable and supportive, and we pride ourselves on being a well-led practice that values staff welfare and professional development.
Our multidisciplinary team includes 4 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, a Paramedic, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and a well-established nursing and administrative team.
We are passionate about progression, education, and training proudly serving as a training practice for both GP trainees and medical students in Sheffield.
We work closely with our local community and wider Primary Care Network, hosting weekly MDT meetings with medical and social care colleagues to plan and deliver comprehensive patient care while tackling health inequalities. Our active involvement with the DeepEnd Group of Practices reflects our commitment to addressing the needs of our community.
