Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions in Kettering is seeking a Technician to join an established product testing team on a 10-12 month fixed-term contract. The role involves hands-on PPE testing, sample preparation, and accurate recording of results in a laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate has GCSEs, good IT skills (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), and a keen eye for detail. Training is provided, with flexible hours and a supportive team setting in a specialist laboratory.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science
• Good IT skills: Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and thorough approach
• Good written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine physical testing of PPE using specialist equipment
• Preparing product samples before testing
• Recording accurate results on paperwork and electronic systems
• Operating testing machinery and equipment per procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organised laboratory and managing sample storage
• Supporting technical colleagues during customer visits
• Following quality procedures and testing standards
• Working independently and with others to meet schedules
