ACS Staffing Solutions in Kettering is seeking a Technician to join an established product testing team on a 10-12 month fixed-term contract. The role involves hands-on PPE testing, sample preparation, and accurate recording of results in a laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate has GCSEs, good IT skills (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), and a keen eye for detail. Training is provided, with flexible hours and a supportive team setting in a specialist laboratory.

Kettering
Hours - Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs
Salary - £26k plus benefits

We're recruiting for a Technician to join an established product testing team in Kettering on a 10-12 month fixed-term contract.

The Role

• Carrying out routine physical testing of PPE using specialist equipment.
• Preparing product samples before testing.
• Recording accurate results on paperwork and electronic systems.
• Operating testing machinery and equipment in line with required procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, organised laboratory and managing sample storage.
• Supporting technical colleagues during customer visits.
• Following established quality procedures and testing standards.
• Working both independently and collaboratively to meet testing schedules.
• Products tested may include safety gloves, helmets, protective clothing, eyewear, hearing protection, fall protection equipment and other specialist safety products.

About You

Essential requirements

Desirable experience

• Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• An understanding of quality management systems.
• Previous laboratory experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
