Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions in the United Kingdom seeks a Technician to join our PPE safety product testing team in Kettering on a maternity cover FTC. You will test a wide range of PPE, prepare samples, accurately record results, and operate testing equipment in a compliant laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grade C/4 or above.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and thorough approach to work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine physical testing of PPE using specialist equipment.
• Prepare product samples before testing.
• Record accurate results on paperwork and electronic systems.
• Operate testing machinery and equipment in line with procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised laboratory and manage sample storage.
• Support technical colleagues during customer visits.
