Safety Compliance Coordinator - Championing Compliance and Culture Across Estate Operations
VIVO Defence Services is seeking a dedicated Safety Compliance Coordinator to oversee health, safety, and regulatory compliance across our estate operations. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure statutory and internal safety standards are consistently met or exceeded.
The Role
As the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC), you will manage all temporary works related to repair and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with current regulations and best practices. You will also serve as the Responsible Person for Asbestos and Legionella compliance, overseeing inspections, testing, remedial works, and documentation.
Your responsibilities include maintaining compliance records such as vehicle safety inspections, PAT testing, ladder and scaffold inspections, and the training matrix. Conducting site inspections, supporting audits, and providing technical advice to operational teams and contractors will be key aspects of your role.
You will collaborate with internal departments and external contractors, supporting audits and investigations, and promoting a safety-first culture. Strong organizational, communication, and influencing skills are essential.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in safety or compliance roles within property management, construction, or similar environments. Knowledge of Temporary Works, Asbestos, and Legionella responsibilities, with the ability to manage technical records and inspections. Familiarity with health and safety legislation and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, are required. Qualifications such as TWC, BOHS P405, Legionella Responsible Person training, or NEBOSH are advantageous. Experience in social housing or large estate portfolios is a plus.
This role involves regular travel across the South of the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
