Job summary

The South Hampshire College Group is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer for term-time (40 weeks) to support vulnerable students across campuses. The role involves triage, referrals and collaboration with external agencies to safeguard wellbeing.

You will manage caseloads, attend multiagency meetings, and contribute to students' health, wellbeing and attendance through evidence-based interventions and regular updates.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Mental Health Qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess students with safeguarding, mental health and vulnerabilities, provide support or refer as appropriate.
• Support individual students on safeguarding concerns to develop emotional health and wellbeing.
• Develop and deliver external/internal interventions, liaise with external agencies, parents and carers.
• Contribute to student health and wellbeing through events, enrichment and tutorial bulletins.
• Attend multiagency meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
