Job summary

City Health Care Partnership CIC is seeking a Safeguarding Practitioner to provide expert safeguarding advice for children, young people and adults at risk. You will use your expertise to support safe, person-centred decisions across services.

You’ll work with health, social care and partner agencies, deliver safeguarding training and supervision, and contribute to audits and the development of safeguarding guidance.

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse, allied health professional or social worker with current professional registration.
• A relevant postgraduate qualification, or equivalent specialist knowledge, skills and experience.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience of analysing complex cases involving adults, children, young people and families.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working independently and collaboratively across services.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist safeguarding advice to colleagues managing complex safeguarding concerns.
• Assess safeguarding risks and help professionals make safe, evidence-based decisions.
• Work with partner agencies and contribute to safeguarding reviews, meetings and learning.
• Deliver safeguarding training, supervision and support to strengthen practice.
• Lead and contribute to audits, quality improvement and the development of safeguarding guidance.
