Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner to lead safeguarding practice across the Trust. The role provides expert advice, training, and supervision to staff, and supports policy development and governance in safeguarding for adults at risk.

Qualifications

Leadership and delivery of safeguarding training and education.
Contribute to governance, safeguarding policies and audits.
Provide expert safeguarding advice, including Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality safeguarding supervision, training and advice to ELHT workforce.
Update policies and guidance with Named Professional Safeguarding Adults and Head of Safeguarding.
Develop staff knowledge in safeguarding adults and respond to concerns under Care Act 2014.
Lead on safeguarding investigations and support S.42 enquiries with multi-agency partners.
Attend safeguarding boards and multi-agency meetings; communicate safeguarding information across the Trust.
