Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner to provide leadership across safeguarding for adults at risk. The post supports the Named Professional Safeguarding Adults and Head of Safeguarding, delivering Level 3 safeguarding training and expert advice within a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead on policy updates, staff development and contribute to safeguarding governance and SAR/DHR work, ensuring compliance with Care Act 2014, MCA 2005 and DoLS.

Qualifications

• Experienced nurse or social worker with safeguarding experience.
• Experience in safeguarding adults at risk and training design.
• Ability to lead on safeguarding strategy and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead on design and delivery of Level 3 Safeguarding Adult training.
• Provide expert advice on safeguarding, mental capacity and DoLS.
• Support policies, procedures and governance for safeguarding.
• Deliver high quality safeguarding supervision and guidance.
