Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is seeking a Safeguarding and Outreach Lead to protect customers at risk and integrate safeguarding into everyday practice. You will guide a safeguarding team, manage complex cases, and drive practical improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding expertise including risk assessment, information sharing, escalation and multi-agency working.
• Understanding domestic abuse laws and guidance with empathy and sound judgement.
• Lead, coach and support colleagues while setting clear standards and accountability.
• Turn data, audits and learning into practical service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the safeguarding and outreach team, setting clear expectations and helping people thrive.
• Own the response to risk, guiding complex cases and ensuring timely action for customers.
• Raise standards through case reviews, audits and learning to meet legal requirements.
• Turn insight into action by using data and customer feedback to set priorities and demonstrate impact.
• Build confidence across Yorkshire Housing, providing practical advice and training to staff.
• Strengthen partnerships with local authorities, safeguarding teams and other agencies.
• Keep the service moving forward by leading the Safeguarding Work Plan and maintaining relevant policies and resources.
