Job summary

Choice Support is seeking a Safeguarding Lead to strengthen our Quality & Safeguarding Team. You will lead safeguarding across the organisation, advise operations and partners, and promote person-centred practice.

You will manage safeguarding concerns, support teams, and drive improvements while overseeing governance, whistleblowing, and external partnerships. This full-time role is home-based with national travel.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, thresholds and multi-agency practice.
• Experience managing safeguarding cases in adult social care.
• Ability to analyse safeguarding data and engage with regulators and Local Authorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across the organisation.
• Safeguarding Adults Level 3 or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding arrangements across the organisation and act as subject matter expert.
• Support teams to recognise, respond to concerns, and investigate complex cases.
• Oversee concerns and serious incidents and promote learning.
• Provide expert advice on the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.
• Contribute to governance, board assurance and external partnership work.
• Act as Freedom to Speak Up Guardian and Prevent Lead.
• Ensure quality of case records and decisions.
