Job summary

Insly is seeking a Financial Controller to own the day-to-day running of the group finance function, including month-end close, consolidation and statutory reporting. You will lead revenue recognition for SaaS and services, manage treasury, and drive process improvements in a fast-growing, no-code insurance SaaS business.

The role requires ACA or ACCA qualification with 2–5 years post-qualification experience, and a track record from a top firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a top accounting firm (Big 4, Forvis Mazars, BDO, Grant Thornton or similar).
• 2-5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
• Experience in SaaS and/or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close across group entities, delivering accurate and timely management accounts.
• Prepare consolidated group reporting and statutory financial statements, and manage the annual audit.
• Maintain and improve the control environment - reconciliations, approval flows, policies and documentation.
• Own revenue recognition for our SaaS and services revenue streams, including deferred revenue and contract accounting.
• Manage cash flow reporting, working capital and treasury operations.
• Oversee compliance across tax, VAT and statutory filings, coordinating with external advisors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with FP&A.
• Improve finance systems, automation and reporting to scale with the business.
• Support acquisitions, integrations and investor or lender reporting.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the finance team.
