Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting a part-time Facilities Assistant (20 hours) based at Portree Hospital, Skye. The role covers Catering, Laundry and Domestic services, delivering high standards of cleanliness and service in line with infection control policies and Waste Regulations.

You will work to a domestic rota and may be required to cover weekends. Induction and training are provided; the role offers a supportive team and flexible working options where possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to Catering, Laundry and Domestic services.
• Maintain high standards of service and cleanliness in line with infection control policies, Covid-19 guidance and Waste Regulations.
• Meet specified cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the environment.
• Catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks.
• Meet Laundry Services to the standard of NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications.
• Work on a Domestic rota and cover weekends if required.

Facilities Assistant - 20hr Hour Post

Based at Portree Hospital Skye. The successful applicant’s role shall be to provide services to the Catering, Laundry and Domestic services.

The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, and Waste Regulations. To meet specified cleaning schedules, and promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the environment.

Catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks. To meet specified Laundry Services to the standard of NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications.

This is a Part time post to be available to work on a Domestic rota and to cover weekends if required.
