Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Bank Facilities Assistant to join the team at Portree Hospital, Skye. This hourly post covers catering, laundry and domestic services, with an induction and training package provided.

You will work on a facilities rota, including weekend coverage, and be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service in line with infection control policies and NHS Scotland specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to Catering, Laundry and Domestic services.
• Ensure high standards of service and cleanliness in line with infection control policies, Covid-19 guidance and Waste Regulations.
• Meet specified cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks.
• Meet Laundry Services to NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications.
• Bank post to be available to work on a Facilities rota and cover weekends; induction and training provided.

Facilities Bank Assistant, Hour Post Based at Portree Hospital Skye

We are currently seeking to recruit Bank Facilities Assistant to join our team in Portree Hospital.

This post will be based in Portree Hospital Skye.

• The successful applicant’s role shall be to provide services to the Catering, Laundry and Domestic services.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, and Waste Regulations.
• To meet specified cleaning schedules, and promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the environment.
• Catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks.
• To meet specified Laundry Services to the standard of NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications
• This is a Bank post to be available to work on a Facilities rota and to cover weekends if required. We offer a full comprehensive induction and training package.
• Rate of pay from £14.22 an hour with an attractive weekend working rate.
