Handelsbanken seeks an experienced RPG developer with IBM i expertise to join our IT Core Development team in London. You will document requirements, translate business needs into robust RPG code, and ensure alignment with security and logging practices.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and produce training materials while maintaining quality and timely delivery. The role emphasizes fixed and free format RPG, SQL tuning, and modernization within a decentralised tech culture.

Qualifications

• Proven RPG development on IBM i with fixed and free format RPG.
• Strong SQL skills for standalone and embedded code tuning.
• Experience with IBM i security concepts, journals, and recovery.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Document requirements and user stories from solution architecture.
• Produce high quality, testable RPG code following standards.
• Lead sessions with stakeholders and create user guides.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and evolve features within deadlines.
• Collaborate to set specifications for UKBR development and support.
