Morson Group is seeking an experienced RPG Developer to evolve and maintain core IBM i applications within a major banking transformation. You will translate business needs into robust RPG/SQL solutions, write clean code, and contribute to documentation and stakeholder demonstrations.

Working with architects and users, you will implement modern RPG techniques, optimise performance, and provide out-of-hours support to ensure secure, scalable systems that meet evolving banking requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Rational Developer.
• Strong knowledge of IBMi operating system.
• Experience with fixed-format and free-format RPG.
• Strong SQL skills for writing, embedding and optimisation.
• Experience with modules, service programs and activation groups.
• Understanding of IBMi security and authorities.
• Familiarity with Citrix server administration and vulnerability management.

Responsabilités

• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Document user stories and contribute to design, development and delivery of new features.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code following standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimise performance and reliability.
• Contribute to technical documentation, guides and demonstrations for stakeholders.
• Support ongoing development and maintenance of critical banking applications, including out-of-hours support.
