Job summary

Morson Edge (Technology) is seeking an experienced RPG Developer to join a leading banking organisation in a time of significant transformation. You will evolve and maintain IBMi applications, translate requirements into technical solutions and deliver robust, secure systems for critical banking operations.

You will work closely with stakeholders to design, develop and document new features, write clean code, troubleshoot complex issues and optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Experience developing IBMi applications with RPG (fixed & free-format).
• Strong SQL skills including writing and optimizing queries.
• Hands-on knowledge of IBM Rational Developer.
• In-depth understanding of IBMi security, subsystems and APIs.
• Familiarity with Citrix server administration and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Evolve and maintain critical IBMi banking applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and user stories.
• Design, develop and deliver new features with clean, testable code.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, investigate application behaviour and optimise performance.
• Contribute to technical docs, user guides and trainings, and provide out-of-hours support when required.
